Occupation Favorite, a musical group known for their modular and analog performances, partnered with Purple Desk Studio to design a unique and innovative merchandising line, produced live during their residency using the Katagami technique at Station 22. The goal was to merge the band’s visual universe with an immersive, collaborative experience, blending live artistic performance and real-time textile design.
Our Approach
Purple Desk Studio created exclusive artworks that perfectly reflect Occupation Favorite’s musical identity. These designs were applied live onto textile pieces using the Katagami technique, a traditional Japanese stenciling method, enabling instant and artisanal production of each item. This approach transformed the merchandising process into a performative and engaging experience for the audience, emphasizing the exclusivity and craftsmanship of each product.
